In the fall of 2019, the town of Hingham’s Energy Action Committee asked the Board of Selectmen to approve a project for the committee: to figure out how to make a plan to reduce carbon emissions all across the town. The Selectmen agreed, and the committee will be proposing to Town Meeting next April to adopt an article creating a task force to make this plan.
Hingham Net Zero is a group of community activists who want to see our town do our part to avert the climate catastrophe that is knocking on the door. We hope everyone in Hingham will join us in supporting this article at Town Meeting in April. There’s a lot to do, and it’s way past time to get started!
